IPA Concludes Record-Setting IPASummit 2026 in Washington, D.C.
The Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA) concluded IPASummit 2026 last week in Washington, D.C., bringing together a record-setting group of more than 370 leaders from across the alternative investments industry for three days of business, regulatory, and policy-focused discussions.
This year’s event also marked the largest IPA Capitol Hill Day to date, with more than 160 industry leaders participating in meetings with policymakers to advocate for expanded access to alternative investments and private markets for Main Street investors and retirement savers.
The program featured remarks and perspectives from leading voices across government and regulation, including SEC Commissioner Hester M. Peirce, Nathaniel Stankard, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff at FINRA, and Daniel Aronowitz, Assistant Secretary of Labor for the Employee Benefits Security Administration at the U.S. Department of Labor.
IPASummit 2026 also included a fireside conversation with Tim Scott, who received the IPA 2026 Investing in America Award in recognition of his leadership on policies supporting economic growth, capital formation, and investment access.
Additional discussions throughout the event focused on the evolving regulatory landscape, product innovation, advisor access, operational strategy, artificial intelligence, global expansion, and the continued evolution of private markets.
The event also marked the debut of the IPA 1031, 721 & DST Breakfast Series, a new educational initiative focused on market trends, structuring, due diligence, and best practices across the 1031 exchange and DST marketplace.
IPA will next host IPAVision this September 15-17 in Atlanta. Registration and an exclusive early bird period are available by clicking here: https://www.ipa.com/events/vision/2026
