IPASummit 2025 Brings Record Attendance and Unmatched Industry Engagement to Washington, D.C.
The Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA) proudly concluded IPASummit 2025, held April 30–May 2 at the Conrad Washington, D.C., with an all-time high in participation and influence. More than 350 senior executives from across the alternative investments industry gathered for three days of in-depth dialogue, strategic business development, and direct advocacy on Capitol Hill.
A cornerstone of the Summit was IPA’s Capitol Hill Day, where more than 150 participants engaged in over 80 meetings with Members of Congress and their staff. Key policy priorities included support for the Opportunity Zones Transparency, Extension, and Improvement Act, the Main Street Tax Certainty Act, and the preservation of 1031 like-kind exchanges.
The Summit also marked the presentation of IPA’s 2025 Investing in America Award, which honored Rep.Troy Downing (R-MT) for his dedication to investor choice and advancing access to private markets.
Throughout the event, attendees gained valuable insights from top regulators and industry leaders, including SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce and FINRA President & CEO Robert Cook. Sessions explored the evolving role of eRIAs, family offices, and private wealth platforms, along with discussions on tokenization, portfolio construction, and the future of TAMPs.
IPA was also proud to spotlight the next generation of industry leadership through our Rising Leaders program, which brought together emerging professionals for mentorship and meaningful peer-to-peer engagement.
As we look ahead, we invite you to continue the momentum at our upcoming events:
- IPAVision 2025, taking place September 17–19 in Boston.
- IPA AltsGlobal, our inaugural international conference, hosted in London, November 12–14.
We extend our sincere thanks to all who made IPASummit 2025 a landmark success, including our valued event sponsors, whose support helped shape an exceptional experience.
