SEC Appoints IPA President & CEO Anya Coverman to Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has appointed Anya Coverman, President and CEO of the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives, to its Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee.
The Committee advises the SEC on policies, regulations, and market developments affecting capital formation, entrepreneurship, and investor participation. Members bring diverse perspectives and expertise to help inform the Commission’s efforts to support economic growth and access to capital.
“I am honored to join the Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee and grateful to Chairman Atkins and the members of the Commission for the opportunity to serve,” said Coverman. “Strong capital markets play a vital role in supporting entrepreneurs, expanding economic opportunity, and helping businesses access the resources they need to grow. I look forward to working alongside my fellow Committee members to provide thoughtful recommendations that advance the Committee’s mission and strengthen access to capital.”
Coverman brings more than two decades of experience across financial services, public policy, communications, and association leadership. Throughout her career, she has worked with business leaders, investors, policymakers, and industry stakeholders on issues related to capital formation, market access, and economic development.
The SEC Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee brings together leaders from across the business, investment, and entrepreneurial communities to provide recommendations on issues affecting capital formation and market participation.
