IPA Honors 21 Leaders Across the Alternative Investments Industry

The Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA) today announced the recipients of the 2026 IPA Awards, recognizing 21 leaders whose service and expertise have made a meaningful impact on the alternative investments industry and the IPA community.

 

Presented during IPAVision in Atlanta, the IPA Awards recognize the many ways industry leaders contribute to the association and strengthen the broader alternative investments marketplace. This year’s honorees were recognized across five categories: Outstanding Service, Policy Leadership, Rising Voice, Emerging Champion and Lifetime Achievement.

The awards were presented before more than 550 professionals gathered at IPAVision, representing firms from across asset management, wealth management and the broader alternative investments ecosystem.

Lifetime Achievement

The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual whose career has demonstrated sustained leadership anda lasting contribution to financial services and the alternative investments industry.

Thomas Selman, President and CEO, SCOPUS Financial Group. Selman previously served as the Executive Vice President for Regulatory Policy and Legal Compliance Officer at FINRA. During his more than two decades at FINRA, he led numerous regulatory functions, including Advertising Regulation and Corporate Financing, as well as the Office of Financial Innovation.
